Yesterday morning I was thinking about Gullible.info. Being the president and CEO of the Gullible Incorporated Family of Related Subsidiaries and Amalgamated Industries (GIFGRAI) is indeed much like being captain of a large ship, both require vast amounts of attention. However, when I am able, I enjoy musing on the bearing and course of our flagship, Gullible.info -- the exact situation in which I found myself yesterday morning. As this was the case, I came to the conclusion that it was time for another revolutionary revolution from everyone's favorite "trivia" website, Gullible.info. What a fortuitous thought! Later that afternoon, our executive vice president of research and development contacted me via our intranet to inform me that his department was ready to unveil the latest Gullible.info service. For the next three hours, I sat, rapt in technological glory, marveling at man's steady march forward. Indeed, the day has come when you can include a random Gullible.info on your blog, or even add a feed of the daily updates to your Google home page. BEHOLD! Display a random Gullible.info fact on your blog or other website.Want to have that be in your blog? It doesn't come with a box around it, just the text, so you can wrap it up any way you'd like. To get that, copy and paste this code into your source. <script src="http://www.gullible.info/gullible.js.php" type="text/javascript"></script> Add a Gullible.info feed or fact to your Google home page
Hey, did you know you can customize your Google home page? I didn't either, but apparently R&D did, and they developed a couple of cool ways to roll Gullible.info facts into your customized page. First off, you've got to set up a Google page. This is the page you'll go to instead of plain old google.com. Bookmark that, or remember it, or something. Just please don't write it on a scrap of paper and forget it in your pocket, like last time. Now that you've got that working (don't ask me for help), select "add content" in the upper left hand corner. Under the "create a section" header, you should find a box labeled "Search by topic or feed URL." That's the one we want! If you'd like to subscribe to a feed of the latest "facts," type in "gullible.info" and hit enter. Wow, isn't that simple? If you'd like to have one of the bits of trivia from our impressive vault display on your home page, instead of typing in Gullible.info, copy and paste this link into that box. http://www.gullible.info/gullible.xml. You clicked it, didn't you? And does it do anything on it's own? No. It needs Google before it can make magic. We truly live in an age of modern miracles. That's it. |
